Senior Research Engineer | Bristol Research and Innovation Laboratory | Toshiba Europe Ltd.

I am a Senior Research Engineer, working for Toshiba Europe Ltd. Currently, I am the lead back-end architect of the UMBRELLA testbed that will support a 250+ node IoT testbed deployed in the northern Bristol, UK.

Research Interests:

My areas of interest span around Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs), Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITSs), and 5G Wireless Communications. Lately, I developed particular interest in Cloud-native technologies and Serverless Architectures, on Cybersecurity for Industrial Control Systems, and Digital Twins.

I am the developer of the open-source simulation framework “DRIVE: Digital twin for self-dRiving Intelligent VEhicles”.

I hold a “PhD in Vehicular Communications” from the University of Bristol, where I worked with Prof Robert Piechocki and Dr Andrea Tassi. Before that, I got an “MSc in Wireless Communications and Signal Processing” from the University of Bristol, and a “BSc in Computer Science” from ATEITH.
